Mixed Martial Arts System training from hard to soft and Tai-Chi & Chi-Kung
Mark Saia started his formal training in 1980 at the age of 17 in the Navy, boxing with his mentor and friend Bruce, a golden glove boxer from Chicago. At 21 he began trained at Kicks Taekwondo.
Three years later as a blue belt and senior student he was asked to teach the beginner classes. Once receiving his red belt he fallowed Black Belt instructors Joe Palermo and Norma Mendez to their new Dojo South Bay Taekwondo. After teaching for two more years as the senior student instructor he received his first Dan Black Belt in 1994. That was when he started the Center for integrated Medicine in San Jose California and began his training with Master Instructor Duc Nguyen. Duc was the Center's Herbal Medicine doctor, Tai-Chi,
Chi-Kung and Aikido teacher with over 35 years in the Healing Arts. Master Duc trained Mark to received his Aikido black belt, Tai-Chi & Chi-Kung Master degree that was the first California state certified Tai-Chi System. I taught this system for the city of San Jose park and recreation, good Samaritans hospital cardiac rehab, Intel, Cisco systems, Lam Research and all around the SF Bay Aria.
